Answers

  1. Is someone available to answer questions I may have relating to course content?
OSHA regulations require that course participants must be able to ask, and receive answers to, questions regarding course content. You may call us 877-4-OSHAEZ (877-467-4239) to receive answers. We may also be reached by email at support@oshaez.com. Please note: Only questions pertaining specifically to course content are handled by our toll-free number. All other inquiries must be sent via email and will be responded to promptly.
  2. Do OSHA regulations apply to uncompensated students working at our facility?
No. OSHA is an agency of the Department of Labor. Its regulations were created to protect employees, but common sense dictates that uncompensated students should be informed regarding appropriate precautions to be used in the workplace.
  3. Is it necessary to take the Hazard Communications in the Workplace course annually?
No. This course is only required when employees begin working in, around, or with potentially dangerous chemicals, substances or equipment (i.e., radiation, laser, etc.). Training is also required whenever new and potentially dangerous items are introduced into the workplace.
  4. Is the course relating to OSHA Inspections required?
No. It is offered as a “bonus” to those registering for either the Bloodborne Pathogen or Hazard Communication or Fraud & Abuse Prevention Courses.
  5. Is the course entitled Fraud and Abuse Prevention in Healthcare required?
No, but the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services strongly recommends healthcare providers and employees, particularly those involved with billing and coding, be trained with regard to this material. Serious fines may be imposed for violations, whether intentional or not, of the described regulations.
  6. Where may copies of the OSHA regulations be obtained?
Complete copies of the regulations may be obtained online at www.OSHA.gov. Relevant extracts of the regulations are available by clicking on “Purchased Courses” and then clicking on “Reference Materials.”
